Blues for My Darling

It's a song that was written for one girl. I was in love with her and she didn't love me, so this is a bit sad story. Listen & enjoy!

For Duane

This is my tribute to Duane Allman. Listening to him I realized that all the rules I had learned so far could be broken. He certainly wasn't the first to use alternate tunings, picking techniques and a slide, but he was the one who opened these doors for me.
I wrote this song to be a prelude to Duane Allman's composition "Little Martha", and you can hear the first couple bars of it as the tune fades. I left it there just to show "For Duane" in the context for which it was intended. Hope that's within the rules.

first original i wrote a while back. i cant sing so i have a good friend that sings with me, so its me on the guitar and my friend singing. its a rough recording with an old mic that i personally hate, so maybe in the near future i will redo this whole song so it sounds better. but for now this is what you get and hopefully enjoy.

Ode To Big Jim

"Big Jim" ( Jim Hood ) was a good friend and an exceptional guitarist with a southern - rock style band in Upstate N.Y., my hometown of Watertown. He was known and loved by all, was a great musician, and a great human being. He was killed on the way home from a gig by a drunk driver who ran a stop sign. This song just reminded me of his style and prompted me to name the tune as such. A critique of one of my other songs stated that I might be better off writing instrumentals. That will never happen because I love to sing...bad or good. However, I took it to heart this one time and I'm glad I did. This one's for you "Big Jim". R.I.P.
