A New Temptation

This is my first acoustic song with my new electro-acoustic guitar. I'm trying to get used to it, so don't hope a great tune of this. Just some nice melodies with some soloing.
Hope you like it, but this is not really serious.

Abyss ( Demo)

This is the demo for a song.

The story of this song goes like this:

I wanted to record and acoustic ballad and, well, I composed a nice melody and the recorded it. The problem came when I tried to record vocal parts; I don't have a good voice and I was going really hard to record my vocal line. So, what I did? The bassist of my band met a guy who said he had a good voice. Well I talked with him by MSN ( don't know him personally) and gave him the lyrics I wrote, the guitar line I recorded, and I recorded, me singing, an idea of the vocals.
Well, he recorded it and here is the result.

There are thing we both don't like and must be checked and re-recorded. But also there are many things I really like! ( which are the most).

What I wanted is to ask you all the bandampers to tell me what you like, what you don't, what we must keep, what must be out, what technically is wrong, etc.
I'd love to read your opinions to improve this, what I think, is a good song.

Please leave comments, specially the experts here like PuppetXeno, who really know a lot about this.
I guess that's the idea of this GREAT site.

Musical melody: Iszil
Solo: Iszil
Lyrics: Iszil
Vocals general idea: Iszil
Vocals work and final melody: Yeyo
Voices: Yeyo.

Here goes lyrics:

Verse 1:
It was a burning bush for a savior
And a messiah had his star
It was and angel for a prophet
And I have an I-don’t-know-what
Verse 2:
It was a woman for Neruda
It was a female for Dalí
It was a mademoiselle for Lennon
And it’s the doom for me

Pre-chorus:
How can I survive
To the fate that’s ripping my life
How can I keep breathing
With those storms hitting me

Chorus:
Learn from the people that’s around
Just walk away
Don’t try to stick to a wound
That’s Yesterday, let go

Verse 4:
But nothing more remains
Except my shadow in the rain
Of the tears coming from your smile
Only saying: “Just for a while”
Verse 5:
And that weight is stuck here
Between my faith and my dreams
Stopping me from reaching
The aroma of your pain

Pre-chorus:
How can I survive
To the fate that’s ripping my life
How can I keep breathing
With those storms hitting me

Chorus:
Learn from the people that’s around
Just walk away
Don’t try to stick to a wound
That’s Yesterday, let go

Bridge:
(Subconscious):
Now advance to the abyss of your death.
And let your mind go black
So your soul will fly again
And your body will fall down, to forget

Chorus:
Learn from the people that’s around
Just walk away
Don’t try to stick to a wound
That’s Yesterday, let go
Chorus:
Learn from the people that’s around
Just walk away
Don’t try to stick to a wound
That’s Yesterday, let go

Hope you all like it, and please live a comment.

"Brazilian Beach Storm" it's a bossa nova I compoused. Recorded the best I could, cocidering the sources I have; a home-mic (those of $3) and my clasical guitar, that really sux... it's getting harded to play on it everytime. so, the sound is really nasty. I can't make the sound don't acoplate (dont know if is that the word) but i tried to make it sound the best with Cool Edit.
Hope u like it, and if u do, post or at least vote... bye

Crack - Crack

Another song with my band.
This is instrumental... or could have vox if the vocalist can create something when he is back.
This a completely freak composition we did and it has completely freak structure. We are going to add some saxo to some parts, but very subtle.
Once again we have some recording, mixing and timing problems, but just details, cause the main idea of the song is pretty understandable and enjoyable.
Hope you like it, and PLEASE leave a COMMENT!

Demo - Song Intro

This is a new project I'm working.
It's been even years since I don't make one of my progressive song, so this is the time.

This starts a it funky, but the people who knows will know that I can't keep playing the same style for while, so I'll mix many styles here, but always with a progressive intention.

I just want you to tell me what do you like, what should I have change, etc.

Oh, and I'll have a little collaboration here... Surprise! I won't tell you who's him, but I'm sure he will rock!

Falldown!

Loads of Rock here... an other styles.
This is the next song after Mental Trap; for the ones who knows it you will realize it follows the same musical line.

In this song I played guitars ( electric and acoustics), bass ( not good bass player), flute ( neither a good Ian Anderson, but I did my best), and I sing ( nor a Bocelli or a Geddy Lee, but tried to sing well).

Mixed some styles here, like Rock music with funk and celtic, to give it a nice touch.

Hope you like, and I promise you won't get bored. Worked hard on this one.

PS: Any mistake, please tell me.

Lyrics:

Purple hazes of toxic gases
Covering the sky, darkening my sight
Clouds are closing, it’s getting dim
Body’s twisting; feel in a dream

Hey you! The red-eyed man
Take me out, is a command
But a part of me wanna stay
May be I like it, may be I don’t care

Take it easy, you are not alone
The ache is only your comfort
It’s not a question, it’s just a fact
But you must walk, it’s a long path

A rope is rolling around my neck
The same that caused Judas death
I try to breath, I try to scape
I’m getting desperate; it is too late

The fallen angels fly again
The earth is moving; it seems the end
And this is not a way to die
In a scary place. Run, I might?

Won’t this stop? won’t this cease?
Will I resist? Will I break free?
This overcomes me, I’m not that strong
Oh, god! Help me; I’m another moron

The sun is shinning, the birds now sing
The green is growing; I can live
The calm is returning, my body’s rested
I feel sleepy; pillow under head

Fire Hand /JIMKbasis

JimK posted a drums-bass line and told anyone to use it for a new song; well, I did.
Haven't played guitar for more than a week, cause I had my left-hand ring.finger sprained, so I used JimK track to make a warm up, because my finger still aching a bit when I play.
So, i made two solos, completely improvised and weird, trying to move my fingers cause I was testing how I was after that finger problem. One solo is panned left and the other is on the right, so then you can choose which one you wanna listen... Hehehe.
I guess you won't like this cause it's only jamming, but I must tell it's pretty hard to improvise over a improvised bass line, cause that's what JimK did; it's hard to follow a bass line that changes of scales every moment.
No way, no more explanation and just listen.

Hidden in a Cloud - Crack

Really special song.. .cannot tell what style is it.
Begun as an improvisation but then we made a radio version of it.
You can listen guitar, keyboard, drums, clarinet.
We had a 6 channel mixer and a computer, so we couldn't record by track, so it was hard to get a very good sound out of it.
Anyway we wanted kinda rough sound cause it fits with the song style.
Hope you like it.

This is freak. See:
Takaminer and me did each one a separate version of JimK tune You Choose! http://forum.bandamp.com/Audio_Review/2548#24103.html
So then I took my version (http://forum.bandamp.com/Audio_Review/2590.html)
and Taka one
(http://forum.bandamp.com/Audio_Review/2591.html)
And mixed them.
Of course Taka version is a lot better, but I thought you'd like to see how sounds both mixed.

Jugo (Closing)

With my band Pulpus.
We r 3 in the band, sometimes 4.

This is a full improvisation with 2 chords of basic line.
The endig in the future album which opens with The Jump (Overture) -look for it in BandAMP-.
In this osng I played the keyboard ( a Casio of 30 keys... a toy) and the bassist played the guitar. We recorded the song in my living room, with some mics, that's way the quality sux. I must say i'm not a good keyboardist, but I like to mess with it.

U will feel this is a mix of Pink Floyd and ELP, cuz the basic line sound really Floydean, and the my trying-to-be solos sounds weirds as the things of ELP. I must say we REALLY ENJOYED playing this cuz takes u to another dimention.

I ask u to lisnten the whole song, I know it's long, but I want u to hear the weird thing we made on this and make the coments u want, no matter good or or bad, just want to know what u think bout the things we do in Pulpus.

PS: We didn't some anything before playing this.

Mental Trap

Progressive Rock Song.
This is the re-make of Progressive ( Demo). Now it has lyrics.

I mixed many styles and influences to make it interesting to listen. You will find all kind rock styles, plus some samba and jazz and some ballad part.

The song is long, but I PROMISE you WON'T get BORED.

Really worked hard to make a good sound quality, considering my sources are just my electric guitar with a multi-effect, my $3 mic and my PC.

Wanna thank to PuppetXeno, Sworfish and TritonKeyboarder who gave some advices to improve the sound of this.

Guess the lyrics and vocals are not my strongest point but I did was I was able to.

Please, listen it till the end. You won't get bored. And use headphones if you have, sounds better that way.

      > Iszil

PS: Here goes lyrics:

Let me take you to a place
Where nothing can harm you
No lines between pain and love

Forget about the fear your feel
Clear your mind and then enjoy
Have the time of your life

Music is the blood that
Runs thru’ your veins
Feel it spreading all over you

Warm rushing in
Overtaking your senses
Your soul comes alive!

Run away
Quickly
Rush away
And don’t return

Life is now
As it was then
But you are alone
You have no friend

When you feel a knife
Is stabbed in your back,
Just relax cause it’s me

Don’t try to run or to hide
Cause you have fallen
Into my mental trap

Pulpus City - Crack

Hey is my first song with my band ( actually, the first was Hidden in a Cloud, but that was sorta experiment).
This is home recording so the quality isn't the best, but is good. There are also some timing and coordination details, but the main idea of the song is pretty clear.
This is a kind of rock-progressive-freak-strange-experimental song, but it's pretty good, and it has some nice melodies.

This is the acoustic version of a song I composed for a competition with some school... for a drum kit as prize.
The idea is to play a funky song, so you must figure how this could sound and funk, and with a funky vocals too.
I just sung in a clean way so we can be selected, cause the idea of the song that are selected is that must be clear, but as we classify I'm gonna change the whole way of singing... Hehehe.
Lyrics are in spanish, but I'll post them anyway so If you want to read just use a translator.

Remixed the song and now sounds cool! Recorded a decent vocals line and fixed some details on drums, guitars and bass.

Lyrics here:

She looks so sexy wearing the tight skirt
And I devour her with my eyes

When she cross the door with that translucent shirt
My heart beats are going mad

You’re my teacher, teach me how to love
I wanna make love to you
You’re my teacher, let me show you what I know
Let’s touch us till the end of this year

Just come close to me, wildly scream ( oh, yeah )
Enjoy my love ( kiss me)
I’m gonna make you dream ( your soft lips)
With the knowledge of my book

I cannot take away my look from her waist
Wanna slide my hands over there

I want to get lost into those blue pearls
She just looks me and I get high

PS: I can't put in the name "School Love Remixed" cause it says I an song with that name already.

Sunset - Crack

Ok, here goes the history of the song we made with my band Crack (ex Oir):
Monday's night we made the start of the song.
Tuesday we built the whole song.
Wednesday we recorded it, in the living room, home-gear.

This is the idea of the song, so is not as good as we would like but is pretty understandable. It has mistakes and timing details, but you will get it anyway. Also my solo is pretty bad, cause it a bit hard to make a solo in a couple of hours in a 5/8 x3 6/8 basis.

Well, hope you leave a comment on this.

Lyrics:

Verse 1:
Deep blue eyes has gone away
She has walked, nothing said
And she goes without her heart
Without a word, without a chart

Verse 2:
Baby I trust you ( she said)
Baby I love you (and then )
Baby I’ll miss you
But baby, I’m leaving you

Chorus:
Your heart is gonna hurt
Cause you’ve given up the cause
And my heart is beating fast
You don’t really care your heart
Your heart...

Verse 3:
You know you love me, baby
But just can’t be my girl,
I wonder why, I wonder why i really wonder why
But you just can’t be my girl

Chorus:
Your heart is gonna hurt
Cause you’ve given up the cause
And my heart is beating fast
You don’t really care your heart
Your heart...

Chorus:
Your heart is gonna hurt
Cause you’ve given up the cause
And my heart is beating fast
You don’t really care your heart
Your heart...

Swordy (unfinished)

Well, this is what I have.
Is just the beginning. Needs the vocals.
Then I'm gonna add the guitars and drums to make some rock, like I use to do.
So in a few time this is gonna be ended.
And feedback is welcome.

The Jump (Overture)

It's a imrpovisation we made with my band, of course with a base line prepared, but it's almost a full improvisation. I play keyboards and the bassist plays the bass in the first part and guitar in the second.
It's a long song, but i love to listen to it cuz we really enjoyed playing it. It's a really Pink Floydish style.

PS: I'll soon try to upload "Jugo (Closing)" that i guess is better... i've been trying to upload it at least 10 times but doesnt work.

This Feeling is Killin Me

Just remixed the song, so I hope you like it how it is now.

Previous spot:

"This Feeling Is Killing Me is a ballad I wrote about 2 years ago. The lyrics will explain many things in case you don't understand why I wrote it.
This is mainly like a demo, cause I want you all to tell me what you like and what you don't; where should I put other voices or where I must take out any instrument.
Hope you like it.
I'm not a singer! My voice is aweful, so don't take too much in count the vocals but more the lyrics.

Here goes lyrics:

I don’t want to be this way anymore
I feel like a crown of thorns were impaling my heart
Drowning every thought of you in a cup of tears
The pain asphyxiates all your memories

There are those who say love hurts, but they are fools
Cause the truth is that love can only kill
The love you never gave is the breath I need
Burning into ashes the affections I layed at your feet

But there’s no turning back
And this feeling is killing me
Killing me

There’s something I still don’t understand
Why there’s no way to forget you
Everytime I close my eyes, I see your face, I see your smile
And then these awful words come to my mind :“you are just a friend”

But there’s no turning back
And this feeling is killing me
Killing me

Now I think the worse that happened in my life
Was to have committed the mistake of meeting you
If I hadn't’t looked into those beautiful eyes
Now I would be happy, I would be another man
Far from you, free from you.

But there’s no turning back
And this feeling is killing me
But there’s no turning back
And this feeling is killing me
Killing me"

New Indu experience!
Kinda ambiance music.
Takaminerb helped me with the synths; his work is awesome.
I just was wondering if you would like to listen this with a flute on it...
Hope you like this.
Vote and rate it HIGH!

Volcano! Pt. I

I thought: " If Van Halen has his Eruption, why I cannot have my Volcano?".
So I tried to imagine myself in front a huge public, and then play only bullshit, and this is what came out.

      > Iszil
PS: Has many mistakes, but it was one-take-solo as all improvisations... lol.
